一、課程性質(zhì)及其設(shè)置目的與要求

（一）課程性質(zhì)和特點(diǎn)

《外貿(mào)英語函電》是我省高等教育自學(xué)考試商務(wù)英語專業(yè)（?？贫危╅_考的一門專業(yè)課，是商務(wù)英語的一個組成部分。

本課程旨在幫助應(yīng)考者了解撰寫外貿(mào)英語函電的基本要求，懂得外貿(mào)英語函電的構(gòu)成、構(gòu)式和文體特點(diǎn)，掌握外經(jīng)貿(mào)業(yè)務(wù)中的常用術(shù)語及習(xí)慣表達(dá)，正確理解并能熟練草擬、翻譯各主要業(yè)務(wù)環(huán)節(jié)中的往來函電。

（二）課程的基本要求

1、讀：能正確理解各主要業(yè)務(wù)環(huán)節(jié)中的往來函電，能審核信用證。

2、寫：能填制銷售合同，能草擬各主要業(yè)務(wù)環(huán)節(jié)中的往來函電。

3、譯：能翻譯外貿(mào)信函，要求譯文正確，語言通順流暢。

4、詞匯：能認(rèn)知教材中出現(xiàn)的經(jīng)貿(mào)術(shù)語，掌握經(jīng)貿(mào)英語中常用詞匯的用法。

三、學(xué)習(xí)方法

       本課程的主要目的是使應(yīng)考者通過學(xué)習(xí)大量的樣信，熟悉各主要外經(jīng)貿(mào)環(huán)節(jié)所涉及的各類往來函電，如建立業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系、詢盤、發(fā)盤、還盤、接受等，掌握常用經(jīng)貿(mào)術(shù)語，習(xí)慣表達(dá)，提高學(xué)員翻譯、草擬外貿(mào)函電的能力，并鞏固進(jìn)出口實(shí)務(wù)知識，為從事實(shí)際工作打下一定的基礎(chǔ)。應(yīng)考者在學(xué)習(xí)時應(yīng)注意以下幾點(diǎn)：

       1、了解相關(guān)的進(jìn)出口實(shí)務(wù)知識。第二章至第十章是按進(jìn)出口業(yè)務(wù)中的各主要環(huán)節(jié)分章編寫。應(yīng)考者在學(xué)習(xí)每一章以前應(yīng)對與該章有關(guān)的業(yè)務(wù)知識有一定的了解，如第八章（開證和改證）。應(yīng)考者在進(jìn)入該章學(xué)習(xí)之前，應(yīng)了解信用證是國際貿(mào)易結(jié)算中使用較為廣泛的重要的支付工具，是銀行應(yīng)進(jìn)口人請求，開給出口人的一種在一定條件下保證付款的憑證；另外，對信用證業(yè)務(wù)流程、信用證各當(dāng)事人的責(zé)任與權(quán)利、信用證的內(nèi)容、信用證的種類，也應(yīng)有一定的了解，從而有助于對樣信內(nèi)容的理解。

       2、閱讀學(xué)習(xí)樣信時，注意歸納各業(yè)務(wù)環(huán)節(jié)所涉及往來函電的主要內(nèi)容，以便熟悉函電的寫作內(nèi)容。如建立業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系的信函，一般包括以下幾個方面的內(nèi)容：

       （1）通過何種渠道得知對方公司的名稱和地址；

       （2）簡單介紹本公司的性質(zhì)、經(jīng)營范圍；

       （3）擬與對方建立業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系的愿望；

       （4）索寄目錄、樣品等。

       3、掌握課文中出現(xiàn)的常用術(shù)語、縮略語及習(xí)慣表達(dá)

       （1）結(jié)合每一樣信后的注釋，了解外貿(mào)英語中詞匯的獨(dú)特涵義和用法。

（2）學(xué)習(xí)每一章中的SUPPLMENT，熟悉在長期的外經(jīng)貿(mào)業(yè)務(wù)活動中所形成的一些習(xí)慣表達(dá)，從而幫助理解、翻譯外貿(mào)函電，亦可在草擬外函時加以套用，如P32經(jīng)貿(mào)信函的開頭套語。

4、勤記勤練，對于每一課后的各項練習(xí)認(rèn)真完成，以鞏固所學(xué)知識，做到熟能生巧。

    5、審核信用證

審核信用證是應(yīng)考者丟分較多的一項。有的應(yīng)考者只字未寫，有的應(yīng)考者只找出兩、三個不符點(diǎn)。究其原因，在于有些應(yīng)考者對信用證這一支付方式還不甚了解，對信用證的各項主要內(nèi)容還不明就里，因而對于這一部分不是感到不知所措，就是亂點(diǎn)鴛鴦譜。其實(shí)，只要應(yīng)考者能真正看懂英文信用證，然后審核信用證就較容易了。因此，應(yīng)考者在復(fù)習(xí)備考時，應(yīng)先學(xué)習(xí)國際貿(mào)易實(shí)務(wù)中有關(guān)付款方式的介紹，特別是信用證的含義，信用證方式的當(dāng)事人、信用證支付的一般程序、信用證的特點(diǎn)和種類，而對信用證的主要內(nèi)容應(yīng)重點(diǎn)掌握。

英語信用證的形式有繁有簡，篇幅有長有短，語序有前有后，表達(dá)方式各異。為幫助廣大應(yīng)考者熟悉、掌握這部分內(nèi)容，現(xiàn)將前些年試卷中的兩份信用證的主要內(nèi)容分析如下：

（1）對信用證本身的說明

6．填制貨物買賣合同

本項主要考測如何將中文的交易條款譯成符合規(guī)范的英文條款，考生對相應(yīng)英文條款表達(dá)把握不大的項目主要有單價、簽訂日期和地點(diǎn)等。

⑴商品的單價通常由四個部分組成，即包括①計量單位；②單位價格金額；③計價貨幣和④貿(mào)易術(shù)語，如某商品的單價為CIF香港每臺380港元，可譯為HK$  ③  380  ②  Per set   ①  CIF Hongkong      ④
